Chris is co-founder of 10,000 Hours.

Chris Maxwell is an expert in enabling groups to achieve shared outcomes. For the last fifteen years he has been facilitating and managing of groups of people from more than 1000 to as few as 3. This includes:

  • Groups in leadership learning sessions
  • Management teams and boards plotting their next strategic plan
  • Teams leading or undergoing transformational or organisational change
  • Project and tactical teams wrestling with challenges
  • Alliances and partnerships coming together, and disparate groups collaborating on a common topic
  • Broken teams in the rebuilding phase
  • Business disruption and design thinking
  • Conferences

Chris’ experience includes groups and teams in financial services (including all four big banks, investment and trading banks, providers of financial and insurance services), professional services, law firms, human resources, marketing, government, energy, construction, retail and FMCG, IT and ICT, telco, manufacturing and travel; in more than 18 countries across 6 continents.

Chris has an MBA with distinction from UTS and a graduate diploma in company directorship. He won a world championship in case analysis and is currently working towards a PhD in the application of leadership to complex environments. In previous lives he was a student of theoretical physics, an amateur footballer, and an itinerant musician.

His real passion is working with groups of people, and he loves his job.
